Mechanical Testing
This page describes the mechanical testing services
Constellation has available. The Materials Laboratory performs mechanical testing and
metallography, which provides incoming material properties data as well as
in-process material changes. Failure Analysis, Lot Sample Testing, and
Incoming Materials Inspection can be performed by the Materials Laboratory
to give you assurance that the raw materials or products you use meet
stated specifications.
Failure Analysis
The failure analysis services available from Constellation will assist you in determining why a
material/component failed to rapidly solve the current problem and prevent
future failures.

Metallurgy
Metallographic techniques cross section samples to
evaluate various criteria.
Dye Penetrant
Dye penetrant testing examines the surface of an item (non destructively)
for surface-breaking flaws.
