Constellation's Products and Services Overview

Products

Through the work Constellation has done addressing defense and weapons nonproliferation applications, we have developed products for commercial and government applications in related markets including space, medical, and the environmental fields.  Constellation’s technology allows it to address market "niches" that are not adequately satisfied.  This includes high performance ambient temperature gamma and x-ray detectors as well as low power, sensitive, accurate portable instruments for chemical and biological agent detection.

Radiation Detection

Using technologies developed under Government contracts and available from national laboratories, Constellation is developing significant commercial products for the detection and characterization of radiation:

  • Mercuric Iodide X-ray and Gamma-Ray Detectors - Detectors that allow ambient temperature operation without cryogenics.

  • High Pressure Xenon Gamma-Ray Detector – A unique detector that provides high resolution spectra at ambient temperatures up to 200 degrees Celsius.

  • Multichannel analyzers - Constellation's "MicroMax OEM Card" is a low power, electronic card for engineers who are designing their own nuclear spectroscopy systems.  This MCA can be used with NAI(Tl), HgI2, CZT, or other detectors.  If you need a complete 1000 channel standalone device, Constellation packages this card into its MicroMax MCA for use in the laboratory.

  • Mercury Module - A  mercuric iodide detector and preamplifier that can be configured for a single detector (up to 25 mm x 25 mm area), a stacked array, or a position sensitive array.

  • P3 - Portable Personnel Portal Monitor - is a Portable Portal Monitoring System for the rapid monitoring of potentially exposed large population groups.

Chemical and Biological Agent Detection

Using technologies developed under government contracts for the detection of trace quantities of chemical weapons agents, Constellation is developing portable chemical and biological instruments that provide laboratory accuracy in the field.

  • CT-1128 Portable GC-MS - The CT-1128 GC-MS is a portable, light weight, ruggedized, field serviceable device available to Government organizations and private firms for environmental assessments, arms control and non-proliferation activities, as well as detecting and identifying hazardous substances released during an accident or terrorist attack.

  • CT-CAD - is a prototype surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensor system for detecting and identifying chemical vapors, specifically gas-phase chemical warfare (CW) agents.  The CT-CAD is intended for  both government and commercial applications.

  • ABCDS - The Automated Bioaerosol Collection and Detection System is a prototype triggerless, continuous aerosol collection and detection system.

Services

Constellation’s contract analytical laboratories are A2LA accredited and comply with ISO 17025 requirements.  They provide timely, cost effective analyses for customers requiring chemical, mechanical, and non-destructive analysis. The laboratories provide services to customers worldwide, including industries manufacturing products that must meet strict requirements, such as  MIL, NASA, or ISO-9000 certification.

The analytical services laboratory's A2LA accreditation makes Constellation a premier supplier of laboratory services in Florida.  With its ten day, guaranteed, turn-around time, customers are able to find answers to their problems quickly.

Research and Development

Constellation continues to provide technology support to major federal agencies involving nuclear, biological, and chemical detection systems research and development. This support can extend to international nuclear treaty enforcement organizations as authorized by the U. S. government. Constellation continues to develop relationships, new customers, new requirements, and new applications within the Government. Constellation’s products and technologies also relate directly to efforts being performed at DOE laboratories, as well as DOE sites involved in environmental issues and nuclear waste.

Detailed information on Constellation's products are located on our Products pages.  Information on our emerging technologies are located on our Technology pages.  The Services pages contain detailed information on the analytical laboratory capabilities.
